Volunteering at Frisbie Memorial Hospital
Hospital volunteers may or may not be Auxilians. These individuals make a commitment to regular volunteer service in several areas of the hospital. Becoming a volunteer is a rewarding experience that is beneficial to both you and patients. Volunteers add to the quality of health care by greeting patients and their families, assisting with office work, or working alongside clinicians in the various departments.
Volunteer Opportunities We have a variety of opportunities throughout the hospital, whether you have a lot of time to share or just a little. For more information on our volunteer program, please view our brochure.

Vision The Auxiliary's vision is community-oriented health and wellness programs that assist members of the Frisbie community with fundamental health care needs and education.
The Auxiliary's History The Auxiliary began in 1923 as the Hospital Aid which made and supplied all of the hospital's linens. After becoming incorporated in 1952, fundraising became its primary mission and in 1954 the Hospital Aid purchased its first piece of equipment for Frisbie. In 1981 the Hospital Aid was renamed the Frisbie Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Major contributions for equipment purchases and expansion of services to patients have been made over the years in excess of a million dollars.
