"Obamacare" - It's not working!

President Obama told the public that they could keep their doctors. He also talked about "competition" in the marketplace (through the Health Insurance Exchange) that will keep prices affordable. The exact opposite has occurred.

"Obamacare" will not be good for our hospital or the other nine hospitals not participating in the network. Why? Frisbie has been excluded from joining the Health Insurance Exchange as a medical provider. We have asked Anthem (the only carrier) and they will not allow any more providers in this new network.

What does this mean for you?
Rochester residents who purchase insurance under the New Hampshire Health Insurance Exchange will only be covered for emergency medical care they receive at Frisbie Hospital. Treatment provided at Frisbie's physician practices will not be covered. Patients will need to travel to Dover, Exeter or Laconia for most of their care including routine doctor visits, lab, x-ray, hospital stays, etc.

This is wrong!

Contact Governor Maggie Hassan (603) 271-2121), the New Hampshire State Insurance Department (800-852-3416) or your State Representative and ask them to put Frisbie Memorial Hospital on the list of approved healthcare providers for Obamacare.

Sincerely,

Al Felgar                                                                  Greg Smith
