The Frisbie Memorial Auxiliary's 27th annual Lights of Love
ceremony was held on Wednesday, December 3, 2013 at the hospital's Community Education and Conference Center.
According to the Lights of Love
Chair and long-standing Auxilian, Jane Cooper Fall, "This is one of Rochester's great holiday traditions where people gather for a special time of remembrance by honoring their loved one in a unique and heart-warming way. Each 'Love Light' placed on the tree represents a donor's loved one. The program included Dr. Robert Rubino's all-male choir singing traditional Christmas carols, the tree lighting ceremony and refreshments."
This year's Lights of Love
STAR adorns the hospital roof-top tree in memory of Dr. Joseph Wiegman, and in honor of his wife, Mrs. Wilhelmina Wiegman.
Strands of lights illuminate the Lights of Love
tree, which is located on the front lawn of the Conference Center, in memory of Auxilian Life Members, Mary Bober, Edythe Drew, Mary Ann Gilmore and Beldie Quimby, as well as past Chairman of Frisbie's Board of Trustees, Jim Foss, and former Lights of Love
choral member and hospital volunteer, Oscar Gelinas. Lights were also placed in memory of retired Frisbie physicians, Dr. Roland Trembly and Dr. Richard Roy.
