To earn this award, a center must surpass national benchmarks two years running:

- Median Days to Heal less than 30 days
- Outlier Rates less than 19%
- Patient Satisfaction greater than 92%
Frisbie Memorial is the only wound center is New Hampshire to earn this prestigious award, and demonstrates Frisbie's ongoing commitment to providing quality patient medical care. Frisbie's Center for Wound Care consists of
a team of providers, including medical director Patty Hodge, MD who specializes in Infectious Disease medicine, in addition to specialists from Surgery and Emergency medicine. What's more, Frisbie employs a case management approach, and analyzes each patient to uncover the underlying causes of non-healing wounds. The Center works with patients in the areas of nutrition, lifestyle, and care-at-home, and also meets with patients weekly until the wound heals.
The Center specializes in treating chronic, non-healing wounds caused by diabetes, venous insufficiency, pressure, compromised skin grafts and flaps, post surgical complications and more. All staff receives extensive and ongoing training in advanced wound care to improve patient outcomes. The Center also provides Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, which has shown to preserve limbs from amputation and restore patient functionality.
