Community Programs

As an important resource for health care information within our community, we take pride in our role in meeting the health care needs of our friends and neighbors who reside throughout Greater Rochester.

We offer a wide range of free, ongoing health awareness programs, screenings, and special events. A complete program listing is available on our interactive community calendar, which allows you to sign up online for upcoming programs and events.

We also host numerous support groups designed by health care experts to help individuals to cope with a myriad of issues, such as chronic pain, drug and alcohol addiction support, or the loss of a spouse. A list of support groups is also available on the interactive community calendar.

We offer a number of community outreach initiatives that include sessions on advance care planning, Red Cross blood drives, and the AARP's "55 Alive" safe driving courses. Visit our interactive community calendar to find out more.

Our Community Education & Conference Center hosts meetings and conferences throughout the year. Built in 2000, this 8,500 square-foot building is dedicated to supporting health improvement and disease prevention through educational programs for the communities we serve. The facility features six meeting areas and is the location for many of our child and maternal health classes, health and safety programs, support groups and community events.

Frisbie physicians also utilize the Center as a location to learn new techniques and advances in medical technology and patient care and to host educational workshops throughout the year.

If you are a non-profit, health care focused organization interested in using the Frisbie Community Education and Conference Center for an upcoming meeting, please call (603) 335-8129.

Physician and Clinical Education

We offer continuing medical education for physicians, and clinical education classes for other staff. Frisbie Memorial Hospital's Education Department works with other departments to assist in meeting the training, certification and educational needs of hospital staff.

In addition, we work cooperatively with other New Hampshire Seacoast hospitals to provide the American Heart Association's Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support courses for our employees and other health professionals.

For more information on Continuing Medical Education, please contact Sarah Sullivan, MD, at Skyhaven Internal Medicine at (603) 330-3404.
