Cardiology Services

The diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular system conditions and diseases is a cornerstone of healthcare today.  At Frisbie, we utilize some of the most advanced medical technology available to perform a wide range of diagnostic studies and procedures.

Non-Invasive cardiac testing includes:

    • EKG
    • Holter and event monitoring
    • Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring

Cardiac ultrasound imaging studies are conducted in our nationally accredited Echocardiography Lab.
Our Stress Testing Lab performs a variety of diagnostic tests which help our physicians evaluate and treat heart disease.

Our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory provides leading-edge, invasive cardiac diagnostics performed by board-certified cardiologists. Cardiac catheterization involves the insertion of a thin plastic tube (catheter) into a blood vessel of an arm or leg where it is advanced up to the heart where it evaluates:

    • Blood flow in the arteries that feed the heart
    • Blood flow and blood pressure in the chambers of the heart
    • How well the heart valves work
    • How well the heart functions

There are currently over 16 million people living with heart disease in the United States alone. Accurate diagnostic testing plays a key role in helping physicians to provide optimum care for their patients living with such conditions as:

    • Angina
    • Coronary artery disease
    • Heart failure
    • Valvular heart disease
    • Rheumatic heart disease

    Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Program

Our outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is designed to help advance the care of patients recovering from a heart attack or cardiac surgical procedure. A combination of supervised exercise sessions and educational programs regarding heart-healthy living practices gives patients the opportunity to regain health and reduce risk factors. A physician referral is required for participation in the program.

For more information about our Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, please call (603) 332-5211, x 8284.
