Endoscopy services are provided by a professional staff of nurses and technicians. Located in the Same Day Surgery unit, patients are provided privacy, comfort, and efficient service. Frisbie Memorial Hospital's endoscopy unit performs both inpatient and outpatient colonoscopies, endoscopies and other gastrointestinal procedures. Staffed by Registered Nurses certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and some certified by the Society of Gastroenterology, the common procedures performed are screening colonoscopies and gastroscopy.
We currently operate two procedure rooms and six private recovery rooms, with plans to expand to four procedure rooms and 16 private recovery rooms.
