For most of us, breathing is an involuntary reflex often taken for granted. For individuals with breathing problems, a single breath can be a major effort. Our Respiratory Care Department helps make breathing easier for patients who have respiratory conditions including:

• Asthma
• Pneumonia
• Bronchitis
• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (emphysema)
• Occupational lung diseases

We work closely with Rochester Pulmonary Medicine and with the Frisbie Sleep Center. In addition to offering diagnostic testing and the latest available treatments, our Respiratory Care Department also provides smoking cessation classes and helps educate local residents on how to prevent and deal with respiratory illness.
