Frisbie to Offer "Fresh Start" Smoking Cessation Program this Fall (7/19/2010)
This fall, Frisbie Memorial Hospital Respiratory Department will offer the American Cancer Society’s “Fresh Start” smoking cessation program for those who are trying to stop smoking. There will be two “Fresh Start” programs, one in September, and the other in October, consisting of four (4) one-hour sessions facilitated by respiratory therapists and other certified “Fresh Start” facilitators.
Program’s Dates and Times:
“Fresh Start” Program 1: September 9, 16, 23, and 30, 7:00 – 8:00 pm
“Fresh Start” Program 2: October 14, 21, 28, and November 4, 7:00 – 8:00 pm
Sessions will be held in Frisbie’s Classroom across from the Gift Shop off the hospital’s First Floor lobby.
This program will help smokers identify why they smoke, what triggers their addictions, and learn the most effective approaches for quitting smoking.
The cost for the “Fresh Start” program is $25 and materials will be provided by the American Cancer Society. Limited space is available and registration is required. Please call 603-335-8431 to register or to learn more about the “Fresh Start” smoking cessation program.
