Having your baby at Frisbie Memorial Hospital means you will receive special attention from a Birth Care Advisor who will work with you to develop a personalized birth plan which will help clarify your priorities and what issues are most important to you. In preparation for your delivery at the Gustafson Center for Women & Children's Health, you may make an appointment with our clinical coordinator to discuss your birthing options and personal needs throughout labor and delivery. To celebrate the birth of your child, Frisbie will arrange a special Celebration Dinner delivered to your room. This special event celebrates the first time the family dines together after the birth of your child, before leaving the hospital.

Follow-up consultationUpon your return home, if you have questions or concerns regarding your newborn, you may call Frisbie's nursing staff who are available 24-hours-a-day to answer your questions. You will also receive a call from our clinical coordinator who will be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have, or provide support during the postpartum period.
Breastfeeding supportAll of our clinical staff is trained to provide breastfeeding support. The lactation consultant will provide you with continued support and encouragement before, during and after hospitalization, both in person and over the phone.
Mother-Baby gatheringsFrisbie offers a popular newborn mothers' group which meets on Wednesdays for support, information-sharing and an oppotunity to share newborn stories. Weekly health-related topics are presented by health care professionals. Newborn care and postpartum support is provided and a lactation consultant is present for breastfeeding support at all gatherings. Read more.
For immediate family members, visiting hours are 24/7. General visiting hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
