Frequently Asked Questions

At what stage of my pregnancy is best for viewing Baby?
Plan to schedule your appointment after 20 weeks of pregnancy (28-33 weeks is optimal).

Do I need to bring anything with me to the ultrasound session?
Unless your fetal survey was performed at Frisbie, you will need to bring a note from your doctor stating that your had a normal fetal survey (no abnormalities). We cannot perform a 3D/4D ultrasound without this documentation.

How long is the ultrasound session?
Each session is schedule for 30 minutes. This will provide ample time to view, and capture images of Baby.

How many images will I bring home?
We will save all images on a digital storage device that you can bring home. You will receive:

  • 2 color 3D/4D pictures of face (when obtainable)
  • 6 black/white 3D/4D pictures, or 6 black/white 2D pictures if unable to successfully capture 3D/4D images

Will I be able to see my baby's face?
We cannot guarantee that a successful 3D/4D ultrasound image can be obtained of the face, but we will make every effort to do so. Sometimes the baby's face is positioned out of view, or a part of the body is in front of the face, which makes it impossible to get an optimal 3D/4D ultrasound image of the face. In this case, we will attempt to obtain a 3D/4D image of another part of the baby. However, this is not a guarantee.

Will my insurance cover the cost of my keepsake image?
No. Insurance does not cover non-diagnostic medical exams. Because we are obtaining images for keepsake purposes only, you will need to pay prior to the 30 minute session.
