The general surgeons utilize the latest technology to perform state-of-the-art surgery for breast cancer, colon cancer, melanoma, soft tissue tumors, and thyroid cancers. They have expertise in minimally invasive diagnostic procedures, such as stereotactic and ultrasound-guided biopsies for breast disease, and sentinel lymph node biopsy for breast cancer and melanoma.They also perform complex laparoscopic colon surgery to treat colorectal cancer and other diseases, such as diverticulitis.

Procedures performed in the office
Many procedures can be performed in the minor procedure rooms at the Surgical Associates of Rochester office. This provides a more convenient and patient-friendly experience without the need for hospitalization. These procedures include vasectomies, mole removal, abscess drainage, and biopsies of the breast, skin and thyroid.
