Volunteering at Frisbie Memorial Hospital can be a very rewarding experience. Volunteers play a key role by providing extra support to hospital services. As a result, volunteers add to the QUALITY of healthcare at Frisbie by helping patients, their families, hospital staff, and the community at-large.

The Auxiliary’s History
The Auxiliary began in 1923 as the “Hospital Aid” which made and supplied all of the hospital’s linens. After becoming incorporated in 1952, fundraising became its primary mission, and in 1954 the Hospital Aid purchased its first piece of equipment for Frisbie. In 1981, the Hospital Aid was renamed the Frisbie Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Major contributions for equipment purchases and expansion of services to patients have been made over the years in excess of two million dollars.
