Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Frisbie’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation program consists of a multidisciplinary team, which includes Medical Director, Dr. Sachin Saksena, registered nurses, physical therapists, dietitians, and respiratory therapists that develops personalized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each individual. Each plan will include an educational and physical exercise component, consisting of three classes each week for six to eight weeks.

  • Bronchiectasis
  • Pulmonary hypertension
  • Pulmonary fibrosis
  • Interstitial lung disease
  • Lung cancer
  • Lung surgery
  • Lung transplantation

Pulmonary rehabilitation is generally covered by most health insurance companies. Individuals should check with their insurance company to determine if pulmonary rehab is covered and to determine the amount of their co-pay, co-insurance, and deductible (if applicable).

The Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs at Frisbie Memorial Hospital are certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).
