High-Resolution Pharyngeal Manometry

Oropharyngeal dysphagia is a prevalent and potentially challenging condition to diagnose. The condition can lead to weight loss, pneumonia, or even death. Current research has shown that High-Resolution Pharyngeal Manometry (HRPM) can be a powerful biofeedback tool for both clinician and the individual. HRPM allows the person to visualize the swallowing process, providing real-time assessment for the clinician to more accurately evaluate the condition, which will aid in the development of a proper treatment plan for the individual.
