The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation programs are designed to help patients improve their health and feeling of well-being through regular exercise sessions and health education. Our goal is to help patients manage chronic disease and reduce risk factors for future problems.
Our nationally-accredited Cardiac Rehabilitation program is designed to help advance the care of patients recovering from a heart attack or cardiac surgical procedure. Participants learn about lifestyle modifications that can lessen risk for future cardiac events.
Cardiac Rehabilitation program sessions are scheduled three times each week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for several weeks. Sessions consist of supervised exercise and health education.
Frisbie Memorial Hospital’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation program takes a comprehensive approach to helping patients manage chronic lung diseases such as emphysema, asthma, cystic fibrosis, and chronic bronchitis. Participants learn effective breathing techniques that can improve their activity tolerance and endurance.
The program’s interdisciplinary team consists of nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians and other professional staff that works with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan that is designed to meet patients’ personal health and wellness goals.

Referring New Patients
A physician referral is required for participation in the program. Referring physicians approve the program’s plan of care for each of their patients and receive periodic reports on their progress.
