A Sense of Security

Added peace-of-mind for new moms at Frisbie Memorial Hospital

The security of both Mom and baby is a high priority during your stay at Frisbie. In order to provide the highest level of security possible, the unit is secured 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The only people with direct access to your private room are physicians, nurses, housekeeping, dietary personnel, and other clinicians assigned the electronic tags that allow access to the unit.

All visitors into the BirthCare unit must announce their arrival through a phone which rings the nurses’ station. New moms are called to announce that a visitor has arrived and to determine if she wishes to allow the guest to enter the room. If you know the visitor, but do not wish to be disturbed, your nurse will gently handle your request for privacy at this time.

Any OB patient or family member may request to meet with Frisbie hospital security personnel prior to or during their stay to discuss special concerns.
