Frisbie Memorial Hospital’s financial counselors will assist you with the application process.
Criteria Categories for Assistance:
- 1. Family income based on 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
- 2. Assets (home, bank accounts, etc.)
- 3. Any additional financial hardship
- 4. You must be receiving emergency or medically necessary services
NH Health Access Network
You may be able to get financial help from Frisbie Memorial Hospital and possibly other NH Health Access Network providers. The NH Health Access Network is a group of hospitals, doctors and other health care providers in New Hampshire that work together to help children and adults when they can’t afford the health care they need. This is an application process where eligibility is determined by guidelines set by the Foundation for Healthy Communities. For more information about the application process, please visit HealthyNH.com, or call our financial counselors and they will assist you throughout the application process. Applicants will have up to 240 days from the first billing date to apply for financial assistance.
If you are uninsured, a 50% discount will be applied to your bill.
New Hampshire Medicaid / Managed Care Plans

Applying for Financial Assistance
To apply for financial assistance or to receive information about other programs, please call our financial counselors. The financial counselors are available to meet with you directly Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm, or you may opt to have the Financial Assistance Application mailed to you. You may also download the Financial Assistance application here. Failure to apply for Medicaid will result in an automatic denial for all programs.

Notification of Eligibility
Frisbie Memorial Hospital will notify in writing all patients who have applied for Financial Assistance. If the application is approved, a letter will be mailed with a determination date. If not approved, a denial letter will be mailed along with an explanation. Included with the denial letter is an appeal letter that can be completed by the patient and resubmitted to the financial counselors. Financial assistance is valid for six months after which a new application will need to be completed.
