Information for our visitors
Our team members will support you in every way they can when you visit your loved one at our hospital.
Visiting hours at our hospital
Our visitor policy allows visitors to units between the hours of 8:00am and 8:00pm. If you arrive after 5:00pm, you should use our emergency department entrance. Please read the following guidelines for further instruction before you visit:
- Emergency room visitors should only come one at a time, and must be 16 years old or older.
- If you are feeling ill, we ask you to refrain from visiting.
- Individuals receiving overnight care are limited to one visitor in the following situations:
- Confused or anxious individuals
- Designated support person for individual with a disability
- End of life
- Laboring mothers
- Pediatric guardians
- Visitors for individuals with COVID-19 will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Coronary and intensive care unit (ICU)
Our ICU provides a closely monitored environment for people with acute-care needs. Visiting hours are from 8:00am to 8:00pm. Depending upon the special needs of your loved one, visitation can be made available for immediate family members 24 hours a day (preferably two persons for five minutes each hour). Generally, children under 12 years of age are not permitted within the ICU.
Geriatric psychiatry unit
For our geriatric psychiatry unit, visiting hours are on weekdays from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, and weekends from 1:00pm to 8:00pm. However, exceptions can be made if circumstance allow.
Spaulding unit
Our 24-bed Spaulding unit offers care if you are recovering well following surgery. Visiting hours are daily from 8:00am to 8:00pm.
Visitation restrictions
Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.

We provide accessible convenience services for the individuals we care for and their visitors.
The Frisbie Café
The Frisbie Café is located off the corridor of the First Floor Lobby. Café hours are:
- Monday through Friday, from 6:30am to 2:30pm
- Saturday and Sunday, from 7:30am to 1:30pm
Our menu features an array of hot entrees, a salad and deli bar, soups and desserts. Beverage selection includes a variety of fruit juices, milk, bottled water and soda, fountain soda, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
Our partnership with Unidine dining services demonstrates our commitment to health and wellbeing by offering fresh and nutritious meals. Unidine’s OHSOGOOD program means the food we are offering will meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Contains healthy fats for their promotion of heart health and anti-inflammatory benefits
- Contains only a healthy moderation of sodium (750 mg or less for entrees and 250 mg or less for snacks)
- Entrees will be 600 calories or less
- Made with all lean animal or vegetarian proteins that are low in saturated fats, such as tofu, legumes, chicken, turkey, fish and lean cuts of pork
- Made with whole grains
- Portioned to fit any healthy lifestyle
- Snacks will be 200 calories or less
- Will include a minimum of one serving of vegetables or fruits
Vending machines
We have placed vending machines in several convenient locations around our hospital. Vending machines can be found:
- Adjacent to the cafe
- In the emergency room entryway
- On the hospital's main corridor on the first floor
Meditation room
Our meditation room provides a quiet space for visitors that wish to seek a place for thoughtful, meditative reflection. The meditation room is located across from the gift shop, adjacent to the lobby on the first floor.
Wireless internet (Wi-Fi) access and cellular phones
Wi-Fi is available to everyone in our hospital. Guest Wi-Fi allows you to connect a laptop or other device with wireless capability for a designated period of time. Temporary access requires a username and password, which can be obtained by calling a hospital phone extension.
We recognize the value of cellular phones and other wireless devices as important communication tools. Cell phones are allowed in treatment rooms. Cell phone use for visitors is permitted in the main entrance lobby on the ground floor and waiting areas.
Smoking policy
Our hospital maintains a smoke-free campus consistent with federal and state laws. Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) and chewing tobacco by all employees, patients and visitors is prohibited in all areas of the hospital and its medical practices including grounds, parking lots and walkways.
