Our oncology program
Our team works across specialties to provide well-coordinated care. We work hard to keep you supported and informed throughout your treatment.
Imaging
Our hospital's imaging services are often the first stop on your cancer treatment journey. We provide comprehensive imaging options — including preventive mammograms and colonoscopies — to detect abnormalities early when they are most treatable. Our hospital provides computerized tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET) scans, X-rays and nuclear medicine.
Infusion
We know that cancer treatment can be intense, so our infusion center is designed to foster comfort and a sense of calm. Some of the services we provide include chemotherapy, biotherapy and immunotherapy. We have private treatment rooms to prioritize your overall relief and ease of care.
Lung cancer program
At Frisbie Memorial Hospital’s Chest Center, our multidisciplinary specialists provide a compassionate and personalized approach to evaluating, diagnosing and treating lung cancer. We understand the challenges of navigating the complexities of cancer, and that’s why we try to make the process easier by bringing all of your medical specialists together in one place. This ease and convenience reduces the need for multiple visits.
Pain management
Cancer treatments often have side effects which can further affect your quality of life. We can help you manage chronic pain with treatments that address your needs in our pain management program.
Rehabilitation services
We understand the challenges you face during your journey to recovery. Our cancer rehabilitation program is designed to offer support as you regain your physical health and provide hope for a brighter future. We work with you to:
- Build back strength and endurance
- Improve heart and lung performance
- Improve your quality of life
- Increase flexibility and balance
- Reduce stress and other mental health concerns
- Relieve fatigue
We provide an advanced rehabilitation exercise program following an evidence-based approach and work closely with you to create a tailored rehabilitation plan. We address the specific effects of chemotherapy toxicity and deconditioning resulting from primary cancer treatments. Our ultimate goal is to help you regain your health and mobility during and after cancer treatment.
When you begin the program, we design our one-on-one core treatments based on your diagnosis and physical condition. During the program, you will participate in a range of therapies, including:
- Balance training
- Cardiovascular exercises
- Flexibility training
- Strength training
We customize these therapies to address your needs and to help you achieve your goals.
Surgery
Our surgical program strives to meet your needs before, during and after your procedure. We offer advanced surgeries, including minimally invasive options that can lessen the overall impact of treatment on your health.
