Lung cancer diagnosis and treatment
We offer comprehensive lung diagnostics to evaluate and detect lung conditions. In our hospital, you’ll find advanced diagnostics, including computerized tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), X-rays and positron emission tomography (PET) scans. Some of this diagnostic technology is also used as part of treatment.
Procedures we provide include:
- Advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy — Examines the lungs’ airways and obtains tissue samples for testing using a thin, flexible tube with a tiny camera inserted through the mouth or nose
- Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) — Combines bronchoscopy with ultrasound imaging to examine the airways and surrounding tissues of the lungs
- Fine needle aspiration (FNA) — Removes a tissue or fluid sample for further testing guided by CT
- Mediastinoscopy — Examines the mediastinum, the area between the lungs in the chest cavity
- Nuclear medicine — Captures images of the body’s internal structures and functions
- Pulmonary function testing — Measures the lungs’ function and how well they can move air
- Pulmonary nodule management — Monitors benign or malignant small growths in the lungs through regular imaging tests to ensure they do not grow or change over time
- Stress testing — Evaluates the heart’s function during physical activity
- Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) — Removes parts of the diseased lung and lymph nodes to diagnose and treat conditions of the chest cavity
Our hospital offers a wide range of treatment options for lung cancer, including radiation, immunotherapy and surgery. We can discuss all of your options to find the right approach for you.
If you want a second opinion, our team can also evaluate your test results and help you explore further options for testing or treatment.
